Michael Ward grew up in Southwest Arkansas. He was saved at age 15 during a Youth Revival while soul-winners were out knocking doors. He surrendered to the call of God to Preach at age 20 and was introduced to Independent Baptist Work. After serving 33 years as a Pastor, he and his wife Mona are now involved in full time Missionary Service in the Middle East and West Africa.
Mona trusted Christ as her Savior when she was 8 years old and dedicated her life to The Lord from an early age. She has been a faithful helpmeet serving with her husband now for 41 years. The Wards have three children, who have all served in Ministry with them and are now serving God in other areas, and 7 Grandchildren.
AMEN ministers in Arabic speaking countries where doors are closed to resident missionaries. In response to invitations from pastors within these countries, AMEN, along with MAP, provides Biblical training and encouragement. The national pastors in these countries are taught the Bible, and Biblical methods of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. This is accomplished through training conferences and the establishment of local church Bible institutes.
